1 leg suction cup stand for camera 1970 Japan

This 1 leg suction cup stand for (video) cameras is a rare version of the well known tripod. This one is for mounting to a window or an other flat service…webcam style. Only then from the 1970’s. It was quality build in Japan. The suction cup has a heavy lever (marked Japan) and can be extended 3,5 cm (or 1 1/2 inches. It has a knob for securing the extension but when not tight it also functions as a demper since there is a spring inside the stand. The little bar on the head as well as the hinge makes it possible to aim it in all directions. It is completely constructed of metal with a rubber suction cup and the black knobs being plastic.
