Very small 10cm slide rule that was made in Germany by A.W. Faber & Castell. This is an early model 389 in a custom japan made leather sleeve. It is signed SKF which is a Dutch Engineering Company. Both slide rule and slider are in great condition, the sleeve has obvious signs of use and age. It measures ca. 12 cm or 4 3/4 inches long. The slide rule and the inner piece are made of wood or bamboo. The slider is reinforced with aluminum around all edges.
