DeVe 472 Dienes hard wood curved coffee grinder Holland 1950

A shiny beautiful shaped grinder identical to the Dienes 440 only in a darker and harder wood with a rare cast iron and chromium plated top. This 472 is made for Peter Dienes coffee grinders in the small city of Breukelen in the Netherlands (clearly stamped on the bottom). This type hand mill was made only in a very small amounts. Great to use for coarser grinder for a stove top Moka pot or for a Durobor. The wood is in overall great condition with 2 hardly visible small cracks. The logo is crisp. The chromium over the cast iron top shows some signs of age with small spots as well. Only the front part of the top opens. The handle knob matches the wood from the top and the knob on the front. The 5-star burr is in great condition, clean and the grinding works fine. This grinder measures about 19 cm / 7 3/4 inches high from bottom to top knob. It is 12×12 cm or 4×4 inches wide and deep.
