Description
Large paper globe made by VEB Räth from Germany for the Netherlands. It is a so called political “Staatskundige” globe. It still has Birma, Eastern-Western Germany and Yugoslavia on it. The base is bakelite and has a small triangle missing on the bottom. The holder is a golden early plastic. The paper has very evenly shifted color do to sun exposure. There are small scuffs and signs of use all around but non distracting and it is complete. With the stand it measures ca. 45 cm or 18 inch high. The globe has a 33 cm or 13 inch diameter.
