Douwe Egberts Koffie DE Coffee grinder 1950 Holland

A nice Dutch coffee grinder probably made by Peter Dienes in Breukelen voor the Dutch Coffee Brand : Douwe Egberts Koffie (since 1753). This is a straight up square grinder to be hold between the knees with a nickel plated top. It is great to be used for grinder for a stove top Moka pot or for a Durobor. The wood is is in overall good condition with some lacquer missing on 1 side. The nickel plated top has some age spots. The grinding mechanism is ferm and working well (could do with a little clean).
