Description

A well shaped grinder with a great bur set up for fine (mokka) grinding. This 550 is made by Peter Dienes from Germany around 1950 and stands apart for it’s size and the grinder setting at the back. Great to use for fine grinding with your vintage lever espresso machine. The wood is is in overall very good condition with some signs of normal use. The nickel plated top and  chromium door are in great condition as well (small signs of age but no pitting). The handle knob is still pretty red with minimal signs of use, the Logo and front drawer knob are complete and crisp. The grinder is clearly signed on the bottom. The 6-star burr is in great condition, clean and the grinding works fine. This grinder measures about 21 cm or 8 1/2 inches high from bottom to top knob. It is 9 cm or 3 1/2 inches wide. It is clean and ready for use. Check out the video on using a vintage grinder and make sure to read our article on vintage coffee grinders.
