Ceramic Royal Sphinx white stylish cigar ashtray 1990 Holland

This is a very interesting and stylish Sphinx large white ceramic cigar ashtray from around 1990. Made in Holland in Maastricht to be precise by the Royal Sphinx factory, designed by sculptor Charles Vos ca. 1930. It is the corporate logo in 3D actually. The Sphinx brand still exists but after the second world war they went from utilities to plumbing industry items like baths and toilets. These kinds of ashtrays were made in several different colors to show the color of their newest products to buyers and salesmen. This one is in like new condition with hardly any signs of use (very small chips from the front foot as shown in pictures). It was designed to hold 2 cigars and measures 22,5cm or 8 3/4 inches wide. There are some numbers stamped on the bottom.
