smaller wooden Staunton set, handmade and in the original wooden box. This set was made around 1950 in the Netherlands. The dark pieces have a semi gloss paint finish and show some signs of use and age only. Some imperfections to cross of black king and hood of white bishop but no cracks or bends. The king measures 5,75 cm or 2 1/4 inches high. The larger bases are 2,4 cm or 19/20 of an inch. Nice vintage small set in the original box.
