Description

One of the icons of 20th century design, the Ericofon by Ericsson, known as the “cobra phone” for its sleek, modern, and serpent like styling. It was designed by Gösta Thames working for Ericsson half way the 1950 but based on earlier ideas. Due to it’s succes it was produced for a long period and released in many colors of which some very rarely seen. This pale blue one is amongst the more rare colors. It is in overall very good condition and it even comes with it’s original colored cords that is often missing, this one even has an original Swedish wall plug! It has only a few small signs of use a small change in color all over but this is not obvious at all. The cool feature is the rotating dialing disc in the base. Connection cut by pressing the red button or when put down. The rubber ring at the bottom is in great shape, there are nog cracks, just a beautiful recognizable piece of design history. The phone has not been checked for functioning so I am selling it as a display item, but I am pretty sure it will work. Check the attached youtube video to hear one ring!
