Chess set Staunton type K78 wood in box 1960 France

Larger wooden Staunton set, handmade and in the original wooden box. This set was made around 1960 in France.  The dark pieces have a mate paint finish and show only small signs of use and age. There are no imperfections for as far as I can tell except for signs in the wood used. The king measures a good 7,8 cm or 3 1/10 inches high. The larger bases are 3,1 cm or 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Very good vintage set sized just below tournament size.
