IWA 15 302 system Sacher traffic accident circular slide rule 1960 Austria Germany

This large circular slide rule comes in the original sleeve and with it’s manual in German. This model is called the system Sacher and it was made by IWA from Germany with designation 15 302. It is large, measuring ca. 21 x 21 cm or 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches. It has a unique construction with a single triangular cursor and 2 rounded lines on the different discs (3 in total). It was specially designed to calculate the circumstances surrounding traffic accidents like speed, distance but also the distance glass fragments travel from the collision and brake track length. Made in Germany in the 1960’s and everything is in great condition,  the slide rule is fully functioning with all parts intact. The sleeve measures 22 x 22 cm or 9 x 9 inches and has 2 pouches to store the disc and manual separately.
