This Aristo 90103 Wire slide rule is the International version of the Aristo 10081A Draht Rechenschieber. It also has the French language on it. It is used for making calculating for wire-drawing machines, based on the knowledge of F.Kohlhase and copyrighted in 1960. It has a unique construction where the slide in the middle is see-through with scales on top and bottom only so there is room voor an extra layer of calculations and schematics (H part is fixed), the E,F,G scales can also slide and even be reversed for a different language. An exceptionally high (16,6 cm or 6 1/2 inch) cursor slides over the entire rule. The rule measures a somewhat standard 32 cm or ca. 13 inches wide. It comes in the original red velvet padded box dat is made from wood and wrapped in period Aristo grey.
More information on this interesting slide rule can be found in my blog post Aristo 90103 – Fatastic Vintage Finds.
