5x Illy Marco Lodola complete set Tazzine ballerine cappuccino 1999 Italy

From the 1999 art collection – Illy espresso series -> the complete set of 5 larger cappuccino cups (Punk-kup, Pin-cup, Dancup, Musicup, star’s and cup). These were not produced as limited/numbered edition (the Misticup with gold angles was never made in cappuccino size). This series is called the Tazzine ballerine series by artist Marco Lodola. All five cup have a very recognizable and beautiful colorful design on all sides of the cup. The saucers are original all white. All cups and saucers are clearly embossed with the LPA – Italy logo. They are in close to new condition with hardly any signs of use and age. The cups measures 9 cm or 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Marco Lodola is an Italian artist, known worldwide for his unmistakable style both comic and colorful, but also for his easily iconic subjects (from Vespa, Fiat 500, circus, comic and music characters). He is also one of the founders of the Nuovo Futurismo artistic movement. His work has been used on music albums by various artist and he collaborated with brands such as Illy and Dior.
