Description

This is a very early arc firing slide rule by Nestler, used for artillery fire, naval canons and smaller weapons shooting with an arc. Most version seen are are for Army purposes like the GWR model from the 1960’s or rebranded (like the Wichmann model). It helps calculating the arc for shooting a projectile using the “Geratekonstante” and “Winkelsekunde”. It comes in the original Nestler signed black cardboard case. Guesstimating it is from ca. 1940 a brother to the Nestler Flugzeit model. Everything is complete, clean and in working condition with only small signs of use and age. The original signed case has 2 small tears in the black cover, not through to the cardboard. Beautiful large cursor in great condition. It is a lot longer then the stand, measuring ca. 38 cm or ca. 15 inches wide. Check the attached video on how to work your vintage man tool : slide rule operation instructions!
