Vickers Machine Gun MKI firing metal slide rule, made by W.H.H. in the 1940 for special use in the Jungle for the Australian army.

This full metal slide rule comes with the original 24″ string still attached. It was specially made for fighting in the jungle on request of the 2/2nd (Australian) Machine Gun Battalion and made by W.H.H. There are scales on all sides of this sturdy piece of metal, as well as on both sides of the sliders. It was specially made for use with the MK. VII ammo used in the 303 machine gun by Vickers in the 1940’s. The cursor has clear signs of use and age but is still very presentable, completly readable and fully functioning.
