American blueprint Co US artillery arc bombing military slide rule pouch 1960 USA

This mostly wooden slide rule comes in its original black leather pouch (signed U.S.). Everything about it points towards US military use….and so it says on the slide rule. Made by the American Blueprint Co Inc from New York somewhere around 1960. It is a very sturdy build with an all plastic cursor (except voor de metal window holder). The slider has a range side and a sin/tan side. On the back there are instructions for calculations. Leather pouch, Curser and slide rule are complete and everything is in good condition with some signs of use and age (mostly fading of the red paint). On the back is a later added small golden plaque, from which I take it was offered as a commemorative gift to someone in 1991. It measures ca. 28,5 cm or ca 11 1/2 inches.
