Ceramic Royal Sphinx black stylish cigar ashtray 1960 Holland

This is a very interesting and stylish Sphinx large black ceramic cigar ashtray from around 1960. Made in Holland in Maastricht to be precise by the Royal Sfinx factory. It is the corporate logo in 3D actually. The Sphinx brand still exists but after the second world war they went from utilities to plumbing industry items like baths and toilets. These kinds of ashtrays were made in several different colors to show the color of their newest products to buyers and salesmen. This one is in very good condition with only some small scratches on the inside from mild use. It was designed to hold 2 cigars and measures 22,5cm or 8 3/4 inches wide.
