Chess set Staunton type K70 wood in box 1950 Netherlands

Larger wooden Staunton set, handmade and in the original wooden box. This set was made around 1950 in the Netherlands. The dark pieces have a mate paint finish and show signs of use and age. There are also some pieces with small imperfections due to the wood used and from normal use. The king measures 7 cm or 2 7/10 inches high. The larger bases are 2,7 cm or 1 1/16 inches. Nice vintage set sized just below tournament size.
