Larger wooden Staunton set, handmade and in the original wooden box. This set was made around 1960 in France. Â The dark pieces have a mate paint finish and show only small signs of use and age. There are no imperfections for as far as I can tell except for signs in the wood used. The king measures a good 7,8 cm or 3 1/10 inches high. The larger bases are 3,1 cm or 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Very good vintage set sized just below tournament size.
