Here is a ca. 1940’s Deguerreotype photograph. It is an early technique shown to the public in 1939. In the picture is a flag with Hero Perl Logo that was a Dutch Soda brand introduced ca. 1935. Taking a picture like this requered the people in it to stand still for a long time. Seems the sailor and it’s crew did manage to take a salute for eternity! Cool looking addition to your early camera collection! The picture is heavy and measures 10cm / 3 3/4 inch wide.
