Dennert Pape DR3 Tp air navigation slide rule sleeve 1943 Germany

Great piece of Pilot navigator History from the second world war. This is made by Dennert & Pape for pilots. It is the predecessor to the Aviat models. This is made in Germany and also known as the Dreieckrechner, with wind rose on side and speed, altitude and temperature on the other side. The cursor on that side is hold in place with a small pin, but can be turned around also. The rule has clear signs of use and age that adds to the history and character of the piece. Some paint from the numbers are faded and in the outer rim there is some dirt.  The slide rule measures ca. 15 cm or 6 inches high.
