Faber Castell 2x Novo Duplex 2/83N and 2/82N slide rule in case 1970 Germany

Combination of 2 slide rules, Duplex and Novo Duplex in the “N” execution, complete with paperwork. The paperwork covers both the normal size 2/82 and the pocket 62/82 version as well as paperwork explain the difference with the 2/82N and 2/83N scales. There is no dedicated manual to the 2/83N though. In the 1970’s these were amongst the best slide rules by Faber Castell. Both slide rules come in their original signed box (one box is in great condition, the other has cracks and glue). The rules and cursors are in good condition with a small part missing on the 2/83N cursor. There is just a bit of yellowing which is often seen on the “N” versions. One of the plastic inlay sheets has a small part missing. These large rules measures ca. 33 cm or 13 1/4 inches long. Both rules have the same design with reinforced end pieces.
