Geska Fortschritt portable coffee grinder in original box with instructions, made ca.1950 in Germany
Out of stock
A portable Geska coffee grinder, still in the original box and with instructions from ca. 1950. It has been used a little and shows some signs of use and age but it will make a great display piece or a nice small grinder to use. You fill the beans through the top door by swiveling the chromium top to one side and the grind get’s caught in the base. By removing the grinder part you can get to the ground beans. It has a five star burr. This grinder can be used perfectly with a vintage French press, Durobor or moka pot. On this model called “Fortschritt” (or step forward in English) you often find the base cracked. This white base has no marble-ing like most models but the early plastic (or bakelite) is completely ivory white (Elfenbein in German as stamped on the box). The wood of the handle shows little signs as well. It is easy to assemble/disassemble to store the handle in the lower compartment making it even smaller to store.  This GESKA decal is a little worn one side, the box has a cut out but is otherwise complete, it measures about 12 x 15 cm or 4 3/4 x 6 inches.
