This is the small Norma 52 stove by Gustav Barthel. In the middle of the 1930’s, after purchasing different companies (Velox and Mars) GB started a red (cheaper) and blue (standard) range. In think this particular Norma 52 stove is from shortly after with a bakelite fuel holder to even reduced productions costs by not using brass. At this point in time it is much harder to find a Norma stove with Bakelite holder because it was prone to cracking and chipping, making it useless. The one sold here is still complete and has no cracks or chips. It is still in good condition with sharps letters and logo’s on top. The rest of the stove is in used condition, red logo is hard to read and is glued in place since I can see no fixation on the bottom. The cheaper folded iron still has half of the original black paint but most of it is showing the steel with some mild rust. The brass burner with GB logo and Norma name is instill in good condition and still has the original wooden knob. All parts are moving okay. Not tested, sold as a display piece. Measures 37,5 cm or 15 inches from knob to tank.
