Description

This is an early wooden Johann Faber slide rule. Johann was one of the family members of the A.W. Faber (later Faber-Castell) brand. This is a rare slide rule under his name but build in the quality, style and technology of the A.W. Faber slide rules as can been seen in the pictures. This electronic version was called the 9206 electro 15 and was produced for the electronic engineer ca. 1920-1940. It is made of wood with white lamination and has a piece of metal at the end of the slider. It has Amperes, Volts for motors and Dynamos. The instructions on the back are in German and somewhat faded. Yet this slide rule is complete and original with just signs of use and age but no chips or cracks. The metal and glass curser has 3 different hairlines and is complete as well. It comes in the original Johann Faber thick paper container that is complete as well! It measures 28 cm or 11 inches. Check the attached video on how to work your vintage man tool : slide rule operation instructions!
