Junghans Ato-mat melamine design wall clock 1970 Germany

Beautiful 1970s quartz clock with tapered white case and black dial, modest red anodized second hand and unusual slightly luminous green hands and numbers. Dial diameter is 20 cm or 8 inches including rim it measures 25 cm or 10 inches. The clock has a beautifully shaped melamine case (hard plastic such as from Mebel Italy) that is higher at the top than at the bottom and is made by Junghans from Germany. The timepiece runs neatly on time on 1 medium-sized C-type battery. The materials used and the movement type points towards 1970’s design tot is still very much up-to-date.
