Lardy tournament boxwood chess set in box, made ca. 1970 in France

High quality wooden chess set made by Lardy from France. Weighted large pieces made from boxwood with beautiful grain. Pieces are complete and in great condition with recognizable articulated Lardy knights. Just some signs of normal use and age, black king has a small bent (often found in these handmade pieces). Green velt on the bottom with king in the tournament size of 8,6 cm or 3 1/2 inches high, base measures 3,3 cm or 1 1/4″. They come in the original Lardy International signed wooden box ca. 1970’s which is also in great condition with fully functional ornate metal lock.
