High quality and rare early handmade piece by Märklin from Germany. A toy from a time that war was still OK and your army rank mirrored your social status. These early Maerklin toy canons were quality made and could really fire. In this case it shot rubber grenades by lighting a small fire cracker. This was the toy of choice to shoot your toy soldiers!. This canon is all original and in working condition with some signs of wear and age, no rust. It is great with larger cast iron wheels and a brass barrel. It has a total length of 11,5 cm. Marked with the Märklin crest on the barrel.
See a nice video on one of the largest Märklin canons made, model 8057/17 (offered by Märklin between 1911 – 1921).
