PeDe 546 Dienes 8 sided red wood coffee grinder Holland 1950

A beautiful octagonal shaped and high quality PeDe  (made by Peter Dienes) coffee grinder in the Netherlands. This type of hand mill was only sold for a few years in the 1950’s. This shape was a more expensive piece because of the craftsmanship needed. This version has rare red wood door and handle rather then a metal top. I did not see this version before but it is all original. Overall it is a very nice condition with no large nicks or scratches.  The chrome parts show some signs of age (pitting) and there are small signs of use and age on the wood but nothing heavy. This grinder is all complete and working, door and drawer opens and closes like they should. The grinder measures about 22cm or 8 3/4 inch high from bottom to top knob. It is clean and ready for use.
