PeDe Dienes 1613 red bakelite top wood coffee grinder Holland 1930

An early and unusual PeDe 1613 (made by Peter Dienes) coffee grinder in the Netherlands. This early type of hand mill has a red bakelite top (no cracks) and is still in good usable condition. It does show loads of wear but from normal use. The upper knob as well as the knob on the drawer used to have red paint also a lot of the darker finish is worn. Very honest grinder that shows it’s age. Yet it does not have much wear and it is totally clean now so could easily be used again. The metal parts look good but have clear signs of age, it is all complete and original. This large grinder measures about 23,5 cm or 9 1/2 inch high from bottom to top knob.
