To get you started in Do-It-Yourself toy soldier casting, I am offering here some pieces for melting and casting. 1 bar weights about 130 gram and measures about 45 cm or 15,5 inches. You can cast about 3-4 toy soldiers from this.
These are solder bars containing 40% pewter and 60% lead (so 40/60). They need more heat to melt properly and to be able to cast with. But it also give your item more flexibility. You can use this to cast larger items with less detail that need some flexibility…like toy soldiers that are being played with.
Condition: used / actual product condition may differ a little from pictures.
Advice / Note: When you want to cast very flat items / soldiers or with high detail, used a higher grade of pewter.
Safety Note: Make sure to not inhale fumes when melting lead /pewter or dust working with lead / pewter. Safety first. Do not put this stuff in your mouth and wash your hands.
