A high quality antique tool for measuring an area on a map, a so called Planimeter. This particular one was made by Dennert & Pape from Germany (also from the Aristo brand). It was produced in the 1930’s, is complete and comes in the original box. This instrument functions and is ready to use but it also has a high curiosity value. There are signs of normal use and some signs of age. The box measures about 26 com or 10 1/4 inches wide.
