Here is a very dressy watch in a shiny round gold plated plated case with gold tone dial and black accents. It has a handwind Swiss made ST movement inside, it also has a date function. It is made by Prisma from The Netherlands, ca. 1960. Prisma is is probably the oldest Dutch watch brands, started in 1948 by a group of watchmakers to produced elegant, good quality watches at affordable prices to be sold through smaller jeweler stores. Then only in Holland but the brand still exists and Prisma watches can now be obtained in many more countries. The logo has always been a triangle or in fact the “A” from the PrismA name. It can be found on the inside of the original box as well as on the crown. The case measures 33,5 mm wide without the crown. The strap is a generic new 18mm black leather one. It is tested, running and winding well and keeps time. The dial and hands are in near mint condition. The gold plating of the case had minimal signs of use and age, just some wear on the sharp edges which is very hard to see since the base case is gold tone as well. The crown shows a lot of wear from normal winding, but it is great the original logo is still there. Original Prisma box is in great condition. Make sure to watch the attached youtube video on loads of vintage watch information.
Vintage watch guarantee and ideas on use:
All vintage watches I sell are tested and working correct. When they needed service or adjustment this has been done by a professional watchmaker. I do not keep paperwork on every separate watch. I cannot give a long guarantee on vintage watches since it depends on how careful they are handled. Sometimes rough shipment can hurt them, no matter how well I package them. I will always take them back when there are problems upon receiving or in the first weeks of use. Please treat your vintage watch as a precious old timer car. Do not go out in the rain, play sports with them or take them on long holidays. Do buy a good watch box to keep them in and change your strap in time. Wear them for a few days at a time and change them out. Do not set the date when the hands are within a few hours before or after 12 o’ clock. Never use force, sent me an email if you are not sure on how to work your vintage watch.
