This is a rare accessory from Agfa, intended for the Agfa Karat IV 35 camera that was produced in the 1950’s. The Proximeter was used for making close up pictures. Items between 20 – 40 inches away (50 cm – 100 cm) could be brought in clear focus with this extra lens and the window magnified the looking glass. Very practical analog solution! It even comes in the original leather pouch. Everything in very good condition with minimal signs of use and age. The snug fitting case measures  10 cm or 4 inches wide. Make sure to check the video attached on starting a vintage camera collection!
