This is an early rack and pinion corkscrew, probably from England. It is a nice and solid design that made opening a bottle of wine effortless. In addition the small brush is still in place. It is heavily build with nickel plating over iron. Most of the plating is still in place but there are clear signs of use and age but fully functioning. I would guesstimate it being from around 1930. The lacquer on the handle still very good. Nice item for your vintage wine collection or wine party! It measures ca. 19 ca or 7 1/2 inches high. Check out the video for a vintage corkscrew museum collection! Also see our vintage stuff reference page for more links to corkscrew information.
