Description

This is an interesting slide rule, made behind the iron curtain in Eastern Germany in the 1970’s. The rule is in good condition and comes with the original plastic sleeve, both made by the Reiss Company. This model is the elaborate Darmstadt-Record, nr. 3214. with 22 scales on both sides. The Reiss name and model number are on the rule itself and on the sleeve. It is made of plastic with plastic reinforcements on the ends as well. It has a heavy duty cursor with multiple hairlines. Curser, slide rule and sleeve are complete and in good condition with some signs of normal use and age. It measures ca. 34,5 cm or 14 inches. Please notice I have several of these and through time there could be little difference…but it will be in good complete condition like the one shown. Check the attached video on how to work your vintage man tool: slide rule operation instructions!
