Reiss Artillery arc bombing metal slide rule pouch 1950 DDR Germany

This full metal slide rule comes in its original vinyl pouch (signed Reiss) while there are no other marking found on the slide rule. Even though it was made specifically for military purposes. There also is a later plastic version, made by Reiss under its later name “VEB Mantissa”. This was provided to the artillery crew of the army to calculate shooting angels through distance and elevation calculations. Nice touch is the small fixed cursor on the back. All scales are designated with a number for easy instructions (not available). The rule itself is made of metal, but the cursor is made of plastic whit one hairline. Curser and slide rule are complete and everything is in good condition. It measures ca. 31 cm or ca 12 1/2 inches.
