Silva Ranger military Compass case 1950 Sweden

This is a cool Ranger series compass by the well known Silva Company from Sweden. This one is from around the 1950’s, based on the materials used. It is all  metal case with tin distressed mirror, aluminum compass body that turns. Plastic base plated and leather cord as well as leather case (missing button). Compass is working and the cool thing is it has the direction is Swedish, so N,Ö,S,V in stead of N,E,S,W. The leather cord has an eye hole at the end to slide over a coat button to keep it save. Heavy signs of use and age but ready to use. For the idea of the size: the base plate is ca 10cm or 4 inches high. Great talking piece or to take out on your vintage style boat / camper trip!
