Star Wars R2D2 Hasbro virtual GiGa Pets 1997 Tiger USA

To fill the gap between movies. Lucas film Ltd wanted to hitchhike on the Tamagotchi madness and introduced their own R2D2 shaped version of this virtual pet. It was made by Tiger in the US and is more of a pocket game than a “keep it alive” gadget, to take with you on your key chain. For 1997 this was a great development in perfect grey on green screen with 4 little buttons. The game has never been used, no guarantee it still functions for I just do not know. On the back of the blister is a small enveloppe that held 2 button cels (LR44) which I threw out, so no batteries included. Still in the original blister. Great piece of early Star Wars memorabilia. The blister measures about 12 cm or 5 inches wide and is in mint condition.
